The Doric as it was in use at the beginning of 19th century - After Cordiner 1807
The Doric as it was at the beginning of the 20th century- This photo was taken in 1902 by WA Herdman, with Captain JW Donnan in the foreground. Donnan was a pioneering inspector of the pearl banks of the island and served best. By this time, though the building was abandoned, taking the bearings in directions to the boats was helpful.
